Hayley Jane & The Primates held an animal-themed Halloween party last Thursday, 10/27, at Mexicali Live in Teaneck, NJ, performing alongside Panda Jam and Tigerman for a great night of music. Aside from the obvious animal band names, the song selections carried the themes with some clever choices.Hayley Jane would sit in with both bands throughout the night, including “Welcome To The Jungle” and “I Want To Be Like You” from the Jungle Book with Panda Jam, as well as “I Put A Spell On You” with Tigerman. Tigerman also played a song called “Monster Rash,” parodying the Halloween classic “Monster Mash” but with different lyrics. Finally, Hayley Jane & The Primates closed out the show with a set of their own music, combining original songs with some choice covers to get the job done. David Bowie was on full display, as the band played “I’m Afraid Of Americans” and “Ziggy Stardust” during their set.
