While the play on the field has been entertaining, there was a scary moment for a referee early in the action.Midway through the second quarter, West Virginia quarterback Will Grier was pushed out of bounds into a referee who was watching the sideline. Unfortunately, the referee wasn’t able to get up easily.When he finally did a few minutes later, it was revealed that he had a gash on the side of his face. His ear was also bleeding profusely.It’s unclear whether he stayed in the game, but he looked like he wanted to.
